It’s winter finally! The season and time to layer it up fashionably. Well not everything is gloomy in winter, with a splash of colour, fashion, mixing and matching dressing up can be quite fun.
As we know nothing is really new in this industry as fashion keeps on reinventing itself. This year’s current trends are inspired by the 70s look. The whole bootleg pants, maxi skirts and dresses are winter must haves for the ladies. A good thing about maxi is that you can wear them all year through. What will winter be without the basic items like booties, scarves, trench coats and leather jackets. To spice up your winter closet you don’t have to go on a shopping spree, the basic items like will cadis, coats, etc will do.
Don’t forget to play around, mix and match even with your summer clothes this winter. Important thing stay warm and fashionable. Here are some ideas on how to wear the key items mentioned. Look out for the next article we will cover the men’s trends. military style, animal print and fur are still hot trends this winter!

A few ideas on how to wear some of the items
Thanks to polyvore I put different looks for you. Enjoy!
Maxi skirts can simply be transformed with the right accessories such as animal print scarf and hat!

For a day look: Army-style cotton parka, simple pair of jeans, boots, add colour like by using a scarf as an accessory.

Mix and match: summer cocktail dress with a warm trench coat, gloves and stocking to keep those legs warm for a night out.

At least have a pair: bootleg pants, high-waisted pants etc and you don’t have to be restricted to black there’s plenty of rich colours to choose from.

Lastly, fur jacket can change any simple outfit and if you can rock it, why not!

Thanks to the team for the feature!
